Prime membership scams
Be wary of emails, calls and texts saying there is an unauthorised charge for your Amazon Prime membership or that your membership is expiring – and asking you to verify your account details – and requesting personal information. Visit the message centre on Amazon.co.uk to see authentic emails and log in to your Amazon account to check payments and membership status. Report scams to: amazon.co.uk/reportascam
Copycat Parking Scam
A text tells you ‘An unpaid parking fine was found on your vehicle’ and asks you to pay immediately, the link takes you to a very convincing copycat government website. The only clue that this was a scam was the URL – all official government pages start with gov.uk
Revolut Email Scam
The email says: “We’ve received a request to set up a new standing order. If this wasn’t you, please contact us immediately on 03308 187 138.” The clue here is the email address: ‘’ which obviously isn’t Revolut
Natwest Scam Email
The email is entitled ‘Request to change your mobile number has been received.” It looks very convincing with the Natwest logo and security information at the bottom of the email. It asks you: ‘If you did not make this change, cancel the request immediately’ by clicking on a link to ‘Cancel Mobile Update Request.’ Report this email to
Netflix Deactivation Notice
This email asks you to: ‘verify your account and payment details to continue watching your favorite movie series’. The clue is the email address: ‘’
Email Messages Blocked
This email makes you think you have orders that you have not received and asks you to click on a link to ‘RETRIEVE MESSAGE (15). We manage our own servers and emails so we knew this was a scam. If you need help – just give us a call.
